Orhan Çerkez came to Çekmeköy 40 years ago. He is thankful to the residents. They helped him start a new era. He thanks everyone who supported him during his 45-day election campaign. Orhan Çerkez was born in Ardahan in 1962. Since 1980 he lives in Çekmeköy. He is married and has two children. Orhan Çerkez graduated from Anadolu University. He studied business administration. He also has a master’s degree from Istanbul Medeniyet University. He studied public administration and urbanism.
Çerkez started working as a civil servant in 1985. He worked in the Kadıköy Municipality Police Department. He also held management positions. In 2009 he started working in Ataşehir Municipality. This was due to a new law. He served the public with his experience.
In Ataşehir Municipality he was the Administrative Affairs Manager. Then he became the Transportation Services Manager. From 2016 to 2023 he was the Deputy Mayor of Ataşehir. He served the citizens with a social democratic approach.
Besides his 38 years of experience he is active in many foundations. He is also active in federations NGOs and associations. He won the local elections on March 31 2024. Now he will implement projects for Çekmeköy and its residents.
