“Did you know that Gymnasium Neubiberg once had to relocate its students?”

That’s right. Right here before you stands Gymnasium Neubiberg a testament to resilience and academic excellence. Founded in 1976 it’s a cornerstone of Neubiberg’s community. It’s known for its focus on science technology and modern languages. Many successful people attended this school. Among them are famous actors footballers and even voice actors.

Gymnasium Neubiberg isn’t just a school. It’s a vibrant hub of activity. It boasts a student body of over 1200 students. Nearly 100 teachers guide them. Imagine the energy the collective ambition. The school has even hosted the Bavarian High School Theatre Days. Talk about a theatrical legacy.

But the story of Gymnasium Neubiberg isn’t without its challenges. In the early 2010s the building required a major renovation due to hazardous materials. Students were temporarily moved. They attended classes in Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn. Unfortunately even the temporary location had its own issues. New pavilions were erected but they too were found to be contaminated.

So for a period students were dispersed. Upperclassmen found themselves in Neubiberg’s newer building and in Ottobrunn. It was a disruption but it showcased the spirit of Gymnasium Neubiberg. It highlighted the commitment to education even in adversity. Classes fully resumed in Neubiberg in 2013.

Since then the school has continued to thrive. A new extension with a library and covered bike racks was added in 2019. The old library was transformed into a larger cafeteria. That’s a big improvement. A new initiative called Camputz now exists on campus. It’s a modern learning environment. It serves as a precursor to the planned Gymnasium Putzbrunn.

Today Gymnasium Neubiberg stands as a symbol of progress and adaptation. It’s a place where students learn grow and thrive. A place where even setbacks become stories of resilience. It is a testament to the enduring spirit of education. A true gem of Neubiberg. And a school with a fascinating history.
