Larroumet gifted the world with insightful critiques on art and literature. His analyses of Marivaux, Victor Hugo, Molière, Racine – they filled bookshelves and sparked intellectual debate. But his influence stretched far beyond lecture halls and literary salons. He became director of the École des Beaux-Arts, shaping the future of French art. He even served as the secretary of the Académie des Beaux-Arts. This man, he witnessed history in the making as the special correspondent for Le Temps at the first modern Olympic Games in 1896.
