Ever wondered what a 19.7-meter-tall Gundam would look like in person? The Gundam Unicorn RX-0 1:1 Statue at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza answers that question spectacularly. This isn’t just a static display. The Gundam Unicorn RX-0 1:1 Statue transforms from its serene Unicorn Mode to the battle-ready Destroy Mode. This transformation isn’t a slow, creaky affair. In about 10 seconds, armor plates shift, revealing the statue’s luminous panels. The Gundam Unicorn RX-0 1:1 Statue replaced the original RX-78-2 Gundam in 2017. It stands taller, reaching 19.7 meters, and offers a dynamic spectacle. During the day, you can witness the transformation at 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm, and 5 pm. As evening falls, the Gundam Unicorn RX-0 1:1 Statue doesn’t rest. From 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, every half hour, a vibrant display unfolds. Anime clips are projected onto DiverCity’s exterior. Gundam theme songs fill the air. The statue continues its transformation between Unicorn and Destroy Modes, its panels glowing brightly against the night sky. Inside DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, you’ll find two Gundam Base stores. The GUNDAM BASE TOKYO on the 7th floor is a comprehensive Gunpla facility. It boasts about 1,500 Gunpla models and related products. The GUNDAM BASE TOKYO ANNEX, at the foot of the statue, offers Gundam souvenirs.
