Established in 1999, Güzelsanatlar Fakültesi began with the departments of Painting, Sculpture, Graphics, and Ceramics. It quickly expanded to include Photography, Cinema-TV, Music, Traditional Turkish Arts, and Textile and Fashion Design. The faculty’s goal is to nurture well-equipped individuals, artists who can not only master the technical aspects of their craft but also understand the social, cultural, and artistic dynamics of the world. Güzelsanatlar Fakültesi strives to cultivate critical and analytical thinking in its students, ensuring they are aware of the ever-shifting currents of art and science, both in Turkey and globally. The Department of Basic Education provides essential art history and theory courses, open to all students.
