As the sun casts its golden rays across Dallas, let’s pause at a beacon of faith. The Greater South Central Baptist Church has been a cornerstone of its community since its founding in 1966. Picture a small group of believers, just six charter members strong, gathering in a home on Kellogg Street. This humble beginning marked the birth of the Greater South Central Baptist Church. Their faith, however, was anything but small. They purchased their first church building on Diceman Avenue. The congregation grew, and in 1971, the Greater South Central Baptist Church found its current home on South Denley Drive. Over the years, the church has seen its share of changes and challenges, with a succession of pastors answering God’s call to lead the congregation. But through it all, one thing has remained constant: the unwavering faith of its members. This unwavering faith continues to shape the Greater South Central Baptist Church today. It stands as a testament to the enduring power of faith and the importance of community.
