Question: Ever wondered how a small block building became a beacon of faith impacting a community for God’s Kingdom? That’s the story of Grays Pentecostal Church.

This church’s journey began in 1957. Bill Hibbard, SF Trosper, and Tip Edwards led by God laid the foundation. They constructed a small block church building. This modest structure became the church’s trademark. Even today people fondly call it “The Block”.

In 1976 the Grays Pentecostal Church became a non-profit organization in Kentucky. Tom West, Curt Middleton, Joe Smith, James L Smith and Isaac Mullins were its directors and trustees. They were dedicated to guiding the church’s mission.

Under Pastor Randle Lee’s guidance “The Block” underwent significant remodeling. Sunday school rooms and bathrooms were added. The church building expanded at both ends. This created space for a baptistry and a foyer. The original block structure was covered with bricks for a new look.

Pastor Kenny Roberts oversaw the construction of the Fellowship Hall. The steeple was also installed during his leadership. These additions enhanced the church’s facilities.

Since then Grays Pentecostal Church has seen many changes. Property across the road was purchased. It transformed into picnic grounds with a shelter. In 2018 lumber was donated. Church members built the floor of an outdoor amphitheater. More donations in 2019 completed the venue. This outdoor space became essential during the 2020 pandemic. Services could continue safely outside.

Grays Pentecostal Church has nurtured several pastors. They started their ministries here before following God’s calling elsewhere. Pastor Randle Lee leads East Side Tabernacle. Pastor Kenny Roberts leads a church in Ohio. Pastor Ronnie Ball leads Soul’s Harbor. Pastor Charlie Humfleet leads Living Waters Pentecostal Church.

Countless individuals testify to starting their walk with God. It began at the altar of this church. They now lead various ministries. Grays Pentecostal Church cherishes its role. It is part of these soldiers of the cross. The church supports them in their endeavors.

Today Grays Pentecostal Church offers a worshipful atmosphere. Anointed messages inspire and empower. The church challenges members to share God’s truth with the world.

Rodney Edwards now serves as pastor alongside his wife Becky and their children. He has been part of the congregation his entire life. Their vision emphasizes growth, unity, outreach, and community involvement.

The church believes it’s not about the building. It’s about Jesus Christ. It’s about His love for every person. Change is inevitable. But God’s love and mercy remain constant. He is the rock. He is the foundation that never fails.

Grays Pentecostal Church witnesses divine healings. Breakthroughs and transformed lives occur through God’s Word. The church stands on the brink of revival. They are excited to be ambassadors for Jesus Christ. Their plan is to continue the good work. They aim to add to His church. They hope to yield to the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
