Its journey began in 1869, a testament to the enduring faith of the community. Imagine a time when the church building was much larger, spanning the entire car park up to the main road. This grand structure, built in 1874, could accommodate 400 souls seeking solace and inspiration. After the First World War, a big hall was added to accommodate the growing congregation. The church flourished with about 300 members of all ages. Sadly, after the Second World War, the church faced a period of decline. The large church was demolished and replaced with a smaller forty-seater building. But the spirit of Grange Park United Reformed Church never faded. With the arrival of Reverend John Danso, the church experienced a resurgence. In 2000, a new extension, the Sanctuary, was built. Today, Grange Park United Reformed Church stands as a symbol of resilience and renewal. It is a place where people from all walks of life, with diverse backgrounds and heritages, come together in faith.
