Amidst the vibrant tapestry of Manila, discover the inspiring story of Grace Gospel Christian Church. The seeds of Grace Gospel Christian Church were sown in 1949. Mrs. Julia L. Tan opened her home on Tanduay Street. Dr. and Mrs. Edwin Spahr pastored the first Grace Bible Church there. Mrs. Tan envisioned a church and school partnership. This led to the founding of Grace Christian High School in 1950 on Nagtahan Street. Grace Gospel Christian Church itself emerged within the school walls in 1952. Rev. Raymond Frame, a school missionary, served as the first pastor. In 1965, the church moved to Santol Street. The church found a new home within Grace Village in 1966. The congregation held services there while their sanctuary was being built. The new Grace Gospel Christian Church sanctuary was dedicated in 1975. This marked a new chapter in the church’s journey. In 2012, the church’s name officially changed to Grace Christian Church of the Philippines (GCCP). This reflected its expanding vision. From its humble beginnings, Grace Gospel Christian Church has grown significantly. It now serves thousands of adults and children weekly. This fulfills Mrs. Tan’s initial vision of a united church and school.
