Has anyone ever told you about the time Grace Fellowship International Church wasn’t even in a church? It all started in 1992, in the home of Pastor Don and Evelyn Carr. They held a small Bible study group every Thursday, twelve people strong, sharing stories and prayers. Soon, those twelve realized something: they yearned for a church that mirrored the warmth and intimacy of that small gathering. Pastor Don experienced a calling during one of his evangelistic journeys. He felt compelled to transform the Bible study group into a fully fledged church. The idea resonated with everyone. On June 1st, 1993, Grace Fellowship International Church took its first official steps in a shopping center at the corner of La Prada and Northwest Drive in Mesquite. Their family grew, demanding more space, leading to two expansions within the shopping center. Finally, they found a place to call home on September 1st, 1998. But their journey wasn’t over. On August 1st, 2019, they made another leap of faith, moving to a temporary location as they search for a new permanent home. It’s a testament to the enduring spirit of Grace Fellowship International Church. They prove that the essence of a church lies not in bricks and mortar but in the hearts of its people.
