“Warmth and bond” Baby Guerrilla hoped for exactly that with the Glengalla Hall Mural. It is located at 88 Glengala Road, Sunshine West. The mural is on the corner of Glengala Road and Simmie Street.

Baby Guerrilla graduated from the Victorian College of The Arts in 2002. During her degree, she won several art prizes. After graduating, she won The Leader Art Prize in the Toorak Village Festival of Sculpture. Her work was commended by ACCA. This was part of the HP Drawing Exhibition. Baby Guerrilla’s work was at the Art Gallery of NSW in 2011. This was for three months. She was shortlisted for the Sir John Sulman Art Prize. Also, she exhibited as part of the 2011 State of Design Festival.
Baby Guerrilla has completed commissions throughout Australia. These include FORM International Art Festival in Perth. Other places are Victoria College of the Arts Secondary School and Victoria University. Also, there are Telstra, Big West Festival, and The Salvation Army. Others include Substation in Newport, Carmen’s Muesli Bars, and LUMA. LUMA is Latrobe University of Modern Art. She has worked at Eastland and Incinerator Gallery. She participated in the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Townsville. Other works include Victoria Police, Swisse, and Richmond Library. She also worked for Geelong Council, Yarra Council, and Bendigo Council.
Growing up in Sunshine and Braybrook shaped Baby Guerrilla. She still lives here. For many years, she has celebrated locals. They made history in large and small ways.
Glengala Hall itself is quite the place. It accommodates up to 220 people. You can hire it for functions. It is available on a casual or regular basis. The hall has 200 chairs and 40 trestle tables. It features a large kitchen with a serving section. There is a microwave, ovens, a large fridge, and a hot water system. Stainless steel benches are also available. Glengala Hall has vinyl and wooden floors. It also has a small stage with air conditioning.
