Gereja Budi Murni

Beneath the warm Indonesian sun, Gereja Budi Murni stands as more than just a building. It represents a testament to the enduring spirit of a community. Gereja Budi Murni wasn’t always the impressive structure you see today. The story begins with a generous act. The Yayasan Pendidikan Budi Murni, chaired by Mr. RHKT Sinambela, loaned six classrooms and a teacher’s room to the newly forming Paroki Cilangkap. This loan, initially for one year, became the cradle of the church. On April 3, 1998, this agreement marked the beginning of Gereja Budi Murni’s journey. Imagine those early days, the faithful gathering within the walls of a school, their prayers echoing in borrowed spaces. This act of sharing laid the foundation for what would become a prominent place of worship. The first mass held at the school on August 6, 1998, solidified its role as a spiritual home. The original agreement eventually paved the way for the construction of the Aula Budi Murni in 2002. This hall, built on land donated by Prof. Dr. KRHT Tarnama Sinambela, served as a temporary worship space. It also marked a significant step towards establishing a dedicated church building. Later, this commitment culminated in the construction of Gereja Budi Murni itself. Today, Gereja Budi Murni stands proudly. It serves as a symbol of perseverance and community spirit. The church has a capacity of 1000 persons. Its brick walls and tile roof house a vibrant community. This community continues to grow and thrive, echoing the initial kindness that allowed it to take root. The legacy of shared space and unwavering faith continues to resonate within Gereja Budi Murni. It serves as a reminder that even in borrowed classrooms, the spirit of a community can build a lasting home.
