Ever wondered what whispers the wind carries across the volcanic reefs of Fuerteventura? Here at Generoso, it tells tales of powerful waves and exhilarating rides. Generoso is a surfer’s paradise, a break on Fuerteventura’s north coast, west of Corralejo. It’s a peak that offers both left and right-hand waves. These waves crash over volcanic rock. The right-hand wave is a fast, steep-walled thrill. The left-hand wave is a longer, more mellow ride. Generoso isn’t crowded with locals. It’s considered a mid-level wave. However, on big swell days, it transforms into a serious challenge. Finding Generoso is easy. From Corralejo, head past Bristol, another popular surf spot. You’ll see two large windmills. Just past them, Generoso awaits. The best time to experience Generoso is during autumn and winter. Low tide and southerly winds create ideal conditions. So, breathe in the salty air, listen to the ocean’s roar, and let Generoso’s waves tell their story.
