Across Jakarta’s sprawling cityscape, Gedung K stands tall. It’s a prominent structure in the heart of Jakarta’s Central Business District, on Jalan Gatot Subroto. Gedung K, also known as K-Link Tower, isn’t just another skyscraper. It’s a Grade B office building, completed in 2011, boasting 25 floors and an impressive 26,500 square meters of space. Imagine the hustle and bustle within those walls. Hundreds of people moving through its spaces, working in offices that occupy a total floor area larger than three football fields. Gedung K pulses with the energy of commerce.

This modern edifice is more than just steel and glass. It’s a microcosm of Jakarta’s dynamic business world. K-Link Tower offers a range of amenities, from a food court and bank to ample parking. Think of the convenience for those working within its walls. They can grab lunch, handle banking, and park without ever leaving the building. The tower is equipped with ten elevators divided into three zones – low, mid, and high – ensuring smooth and efficient movement throughout this vertical city. There’s even a dedicated service lift. Gedung K has thought of everything to facilitate the flow of business.

But Gedung K’s story isn’t just about its size and amenities. In July 2023, the tower faced a dramatic moment. A fire broke out, sending smoke billowing across the Jakarta skyline. The fire, which reportedly started on the 7th floor and spread to the 15th, required a significant response. Twenty fire trucks and 100 personnel battled the blaze, a stark reminder of the unexpected events that can disrupt even the most modern structures. The incident caused traffic jams on Jalan Gatot Subroto, a major artery in the city. The image of fire trucks and emergency personnel surrounding Gedung K served as a dramatic illustration of its central location in the city’s landscape.

Today, Gedung K continues to stand as a testament to Jakarta’s growth and ambition. It’s a hub of activity, housing businesses and contributing to the city’s economic vibrancy. As you stand before Gedung K, remember its story. It’s a story of modern architecture, convenient amenities, and a dramatic moment etched in the city’s memory. Gedung K is more than just a building. It’s a part of Jakarta’s ongoing narrative.
