The Indonesian Bethel Church or Gereja Bethel Indonesia abbreviated as GBI is a group of Christian Pentecostal churches in Indonesia. GBI Green Ville is one of them. It is a member of Church of God. The headquarters of the organisation is in Jakarta.

American missionaries introduced Pentecostal doctrines to Indonesia in 1921. This led to the founding of the Union of Pentecostal Churches in 1924. It was later renamed Pentecostal Church of Indonesia. A group split in 1946. They formed Bethel Full Gospel Church. In 1967 Bethel Full Gospel Church unified with Church of God.

However disagreements caused the church to re-register in 1970. It was renamed Bethel Church of Indonesia. The Ministry of Religious Affairs officially registered it in 1972.

By 1998 the church had 725000 believers in 1320 churches. The number increased to 2.5 million by 2010. Half of the members are Chinese Indonesians. In 2012 it had 5000 churches, 3 million members and 100000 abroad.

Gereja Bethel Indonesia is part of Pentecostalism. Its Confession of Faith includes belief in the Bible’s inspiration. It believes in the Trinity and Christ’s dual nature. Baptism and communion are ordinances. It emphasizes baptism with the Holy Spirit. Divine healing is a demonstration of Christ’s Resurrection Power.

Theological training occurs at Bethel Seminary in Jakarta. Also Kharisma school of theology and other institutions are important.
