Wow What a transformation. This isn’t the Gas Monkey Live you remember. Right here on Technology Boulevard stood a legendary venue. Gas Monkey Live was its name. It pulsed with the energy of rock and roll. The roar of the crowd the thump of the bass the flash of stage lights. This was a place where legends were made and broken.

Gas Monkey Live wasn’t just a bar. It was an experience. Part of the Gas Monkey empire it was the brainchild of Richard Rawlings. You know the star of Fast N Loud. He and his partners Alex Mendonsa Peter Ore and the Flaherty brothers poured their hearts and souls into this place. They opened it in 2014. The space had a past life as Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill.

Gas Monkey Live boasted an indoor stage and an epic outdoor space. Imagine concerts under the Dallas sky. The outdoor area overlooked a waterway creating a unique atmosphere. It wasn’t just about the music though. The food was legendary too. Gas Monkey Bar N Grill served up classic American fare. Burgers sandwiches and smoked meats were always on the menu.

But time marches on. In 2020 Gas Monkey Live closed its doors. The Gas Monkey Bar N Grill remained but underwent a massive renovation. Richard Rawlings stepped away. The venue is now Amplified.

It retained the great outdoor stage. They added an incredible sound system. The interior is completely revamped with new lighting and video walls. The menu expanded with new dishes and cocktails. It’s a testament to the enduring legacy of Gas Monkey Live that even after its closure the space lives on. Amplified is still a Dallas destination a place where music thrives and memories are made. It’s a venue reborn.
