Nestled in West Dallas, Galilee Church of God in Christ has been a beacon of faith for the community. Galilee Church of God in Christ wasn’t built overnight. It was founded on the unwavering principles of the Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Superintendent Rabion Hunter. His vision laid the foundation for a church dedicated to declaring the Word of the Lord and embracing all who enter its doors. Galilee Church of God in Christ stands as a testament to his dedication and the enduring power of faith. Pastor Raymond Allen now leads the congregation. He carries the torch, guiding the church in its mission of love and spiritual growth. Before becoming pastor, he served under Superintendent Hunter, learning and growing in his faith. He was a Sunday School teacher, then an elder, then Sunday School Superintendent, and finally, Assistant Pastor. This journey prepared him to lead Galilee Church of God in Christ after Superintendent Hunter’s passing in 2016. His wife, First Lady Joyce Allen, stands by his side. She is a pillar of strength for the women of the church, motivating and inspiring them in their faith journeys. The Galilee Church of God in Christ isn’t just a building. It’s a living testament to the power of faith, community, and the enduring message of the Word of the Lord. The church believes in the Bible as the infallible Word of God. They believe in the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Core tenets of their faith include the rapture of the Church, cleansing from sin through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, regeneration by the Holy Ghost, and the healing power of Christ. They also believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and its power to enable a holy life. At Galilee Church of God in Christ, holiness is still right. It’s not just a motto; it’s a way of life, woven into the fabric of the church’s foundation and carried out by its devoted members.
