Here stands Full Gospel Chinese Church. What began in 1983 is now a beacon of faith. Apostle Ron and Dr. Barbara Wilson founded Full Gospel Christian Assemblies International. It started in the home of Elders Tyrone and Bernice Green.

Family. Favor. Fear. Faith. These four components were its foundation. Today, the church reaches thousands globally. Its simple message resonates: Jesus Saves.

Each generation finds ministry here. Kid’s Rock Children’s Ministry nurtures the young. Rebranded Youth & Young Adult Ministry guides the next generation. Highway 65 Seniors Ministry supports elders. Covenant Partner’s Marriage Ministry and Single’s Ministry strengthen relationships.

Full Gospel’s first service held above a camera shop in Chicago. About 50 people attended. The ministry moved between four temporary locations. Many found Christ during this time. This constant growth was quick.

By 1989, Full Gospel had its own facility. It was located at 23220 South State Street. This was in South Chicago Heights. Radio and television ministries soon followed. They were called “Setting the Captives Free”. The School of Ministerial Training was also established at this time. It prepares men and women for ministry. The school aims to provide understanding of God’s purpose.

Full Gospel hosted many gospel concerts. Yolanda Adams and Fred Hammond performed here. Ben Tankard, Anointed, Angelo & Veronica also played, as well as Allen & Allen.

This ministry saw tremendous growth. Marriages were healed. Wayward teens returned home. Drug dealers received Christ. Addicts were filled with the Holy Ghost. The sick and broken-hearted found healing.

Acts 2:47 says the Lord adds to the church daily. With increasing souls, a larger facility was needed. As a result, 20 acres of land in Hazel Crest, Illinois, were purchased.

Phase I of the FGCAI Nehemiah Building Project began. The church moved into a $2.5 million building. It was located at 3451 West 175th Street in Hazel Crest.

Apostle Ron and Dr. Barbara Wilson traveled extensively. They taught kingdom principles. These included salvation, repentance, restoration, and deliverance. They ministered in Africa and India. They visited Barbados and St. Lucia. Malaysia, Brazil, Argentina, Antigua & Barbuda, and Brussels were also stops on the journeys. During a South African ministry, Apostle Ron was the first African American to speak in a pulpit to a congregation who once believed in apartheid.

Apostle Ron founded C.A.I.M. This is the Coalition of Apostolic and International Ministries. It supports ministries throughout the United States and some Third-World countries. Full Gospel Chinese Church remains a testament to faith. It showcases growth and global impact.
