In 1989, a vibrant transformation began in Lyon’s Cité Tony Garnier. The Fresque Musée T. Garnier 2 – Les Temps de la Cité mural stands as a testament to this revitalization. Garnier 2 – Les Temps de la Cité mural reflects this history. It replaced an older mural titled “Tony Garnier Visionnaire”. Now, this new mural unfolds the story of the États-Unis quarter from the 1930s to the present day, capturing the spirit of community and the evolution of this vibrant neighborhood. Created in collaboration with CitéCréation, Grand Lyon Habitat, and the Musée Urbain Tony Garnier, the mural is a beautiful example of community art. Local residents actively participated in creative workshops, contributing their memories and experiences to the mural’s design. This collaborative spirit ensures that Fresque Musée T. Garnier 2 – Les Temps de la Cité accurately represents the heart and soul of the community.
