“Art blooms here.” That’s what I always say when I bring people to Flowers Gallery. Founded in 1968 by Angela Flowers, the Flowers Gallery began in London’s West End. It started on Lisle Street.

Let’s step inside Flowers Gallery. The gallery now has locations in London. It also has locations in New York City and Hong Kong. The Flowers Gallery has grown quite a bit.

Matthew Flowers, Angela’s son, took over running the business in 1989. He continued his mother’s vision. In the late 1990s, Flowers Gallery even opened a space in Los Angeles. It was known as Flowers West.

The Flowers Gallery represents over 60 artists. It also represents artists’ estates. Names like Glenys Barton and Edward Burtynsky are included. Elger Esser and Tom Phillips are also represented here.

In 2002, Flowers East relocated. It moved from Hackney to a large industrial space in Shoreditch. The space was 12,000 square feet. Flowers Gallery was growing and evolving.

Flowers Gallery’s U.S. gallery moved to New York City in 2003. It was initially on Madison Avenue. Later, it moved to West 20th Avenue in Chelsea in 2009. Similar to Flowers West, Flowers East is no longer in use.

Consider the diverse artists the Flowers Gallery supports. Glenys Barton has been with the gallery since 1974. The Flowers Gallery showcases a wide range of artistic styles.

Look around at the art. The Flowers Gallery isn’t just a space. It’s a platform for creativity. It’s a place where artists can share their visions. It’s also a place where visitors can discover new perspectives. The Flowers Gallery is more than just a business. It’s a cultural hub.

Bianca Raffaella joined the Flowers Gallery in 2024. New talents find their place alongside established names. The Flowers Gallery remains dynamic. It continues to evolve with the art world.

As you leave, remember the Flowers Gallery’s journey. From a small space in the West End. To an international presence. The Flowers Gallery continues to cultivate art and artists. It enriches the cultural landscape. Its story is one of growth, vision, and a commitment to art.
