Fleetdown Primary Academy stands proudly on Lunedale Road in Darenth Dartford. It’s an outstanding academy serving children aged 4 to 11. This impressive institution opened its doors on April 1 2021. It wasn’t always known as Fleetdown Primary Academy though. Before becoming an academy it was Fleetdown Primary School. The school has undergone a transformation. It’s now part of The Golden Thread Alliance a multi-academy trust.
Did you know Fleetdown Primary Academy has a remarkable capacity? It can accommodate up to 654 pupils. Currently it boasts 637 students. That’s quite a community isn’t it? Among these students 90 are eligible for free school meals. That represents approximately 14.1% of the student body. The school also provides resourced provision for students with hearing impairments. Six students currently receive this support. The maximum capacity for this specialized support is 12 students.
Mrs Alice Harrington is the headteacher. She is also an ex-officio local governor. The school has a dedicated governing body. This includes elected parents and staff representatives. There is also a board-appointed chair Emma Hilton. Her term runs until April 2027. It’s a collaborative effort. It involves parents staff and the board working together to ensure a great education for every child.
