Pastor Harold Parsley has led the First Baptist Church of Tinley Park since December 2008. His main goal is to serve everyone. This includes members and non-members. He offers help in any way he can.
Pastor Parsley’s journey to ministry is quite interesting. He was an active, licensed Realtor for years. While at a friend’s Bible study in California, he became a follower of Jesus Christ. He earned a degree in Pastoral Ministry from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. He then pastored churches in California and later in Frankfurt and Morris. His service includes working at a Youth Detention Camp and as Chaplain of the Frankfort Fire Department.
At the First Baptist Church of Tinley Park, you will find a place for worship. It is a place for learning and enrichment. You will also find friendship and opportunities for service. The church strives to connect people. It recognizes the spiritual need for nurture and community. The church is large enough to offer growth and challenge. Men’s ministries and intercessory prayer meetings are also available. The church supports community scripture distribution and the Illinois Baptist Children’s Home and Family Services.
