First Baptist Church – Las Colinas has seen a lot in its time. From Indian raids and storms to a smallpox epidemic, the church has endured. Established in 1853 as the United Baptist Church of Jesus Christ, it was the third Baptist church in Tarrant County. The church has called several locations home. Originally built in Tarrant County, it was moved to Dallas County in 1887. Then in 1970, the DFW Airport Authority acquired the property, prompting another move to its current location. Through all these changes, First Baptist Church – Las Colinas has remained a steadfast presence in the community, a testament to its enduring faith and the dedication of its members.
