Filipino-American Christian Church

Amidst the vibrant tapestry of Seattle, the Filipino-American Christian Church stands as a testament to faith and community. The Filipino-American Christian Church isn’t just a building; it’s a living testament to the Filipino-American spirit. It’s a place where cultures intertwine, where Tagalog hymns mingle with American gospel, and where the aroma of adobo often fills the air after service. In 2004, a family’s journey led them to this very spot. Pastor Joseph Langub, his wife Norlinda, and their children Abby, Aaron, and Arianna, arrived in Seattle. Little did they know, their arrival would intertwine with the story of the Filipino-American Christian Church. In that same year, Pastor Langub was invited to speak at Grace International Christian Church. This church, now known as the Filipino-American Christian Church, welcomed him with open arms. By 2005, with the support of the Alliance Pacific Northwest District, he became the resident pastor. The Filipino-American Christian Church became their spiritual home. The Langub family, while embracing their new life in America, held onto their Filipino heritage. The sounds of TFC/GMA shows, the tastes of Filipino cuisine, and the joy of karaoke nights filled their home. Pastor Langub found solace in gardening, a pastime that reminded him of his roots in the farmlands of Basak, Surallah, South Cotabato. The Filipino-American Christian Church thrives under Pastor Langub’s leadership. Every Sunday, the church doors open, welcoming worshippers to a service that begins at 2:00 pm. The church celebrated its 29th anniversary in March 2023. It’s a celebration of faith, community, and the enduring spirit of the Filipino-American people. The Filipino-American Christian Church isn’t just a place of worship. It’s a beacon of hope, a testament to the power of community, and a vibrant thread in the rich tapestry of Seattle.
