Established in 2017 Fieldstone is a suburb in Melbourne. It’s located 28 kilometers west of Melbourne’s Central Business District. Fieldstone is within the City of Melton local government area. Before becoming its own suburb Fieldstone was part of Mount Cottrell. The Office of Geographic Names gazetted Fieldstone on February 9 2017. This followed a proposal for eleven new suburbs by the City of Melton. The new name officially started being used in mid-2017. Picture this a brand new suburb springing up.
