In the 19th century, Fiddlers Hamlet was considered part of the Coopersale northern district within Theydon Garnon parish. Later, Fiddlers Hamlet, along with Coopersale Street and Coopersale, became part of the Epping Urban District. Fiddlers Hamlet boasts a rich architectural heritage, with six Grade II listed buildings. Among them is Masons Bridge Farmhouse, a stunning example of timber-framed architecture, potentially dating back to the 15th century. The hamlet also features a number of historic farm buildings. These include a mid-16th-century barn, an early 19th-century granary, and a 16th-century courtyard building at Home Farm, all showcasing traditional timber-framed and weatherboarded construction.
