Originally part of Büyük Çamlıca Tepesi, Ferah Mahallesi officially became a neighborhood in 1969. Imagine the area back then, perhaps a quieter, more rural landscape. Now, Ferah Mahallesi boasts seven main streets and a network of 91 streets, pulsing with the energy of over twenty-one thousand residents. Ferah Mahallesi is bordered by several other neighborhoods. To the west lie Kirazlıtepe and Küplüce. Mehmet Akif Ersoy sits to the north, Kısıklı to the south, and Yavuztürk to the east. Even Ümraniye’s Tantavi neighborhood brushes against Ferah Mahallesi’s southeastern corner. This vibrant community has seen steady growth over the years. In 2007, the population was around fourteen thousand eight hundred. By 2023, that number had climbed to over twenty-one thousand.
