Everything inside is restored. Some furnishings are original. The dining room has a reconstructed collection of bird specimens. This honors the building’s history.

Take a closer look at the miniature harbor. Imagine naval battles staged here. A painted brick lighthouse stands tall at 21.8 meters. It completes this playful scene. The battles reenacted the Battle of Chesma. A miniature wall represented the Dardanelles. Sadly, the harbor is partly silted. The lake’s water level is lower now.

The Fasanenschlösschen also serves as a wedding location. The small ballroom is available for ceremonies. Imagine getting married here. The bright room holds up to 20 guests. Large windows offer views of the Venus Fountain and canal. Moritzburg Castle can be seen in the distance.

The park around the Fasanenschlösschen invites romantic walks. The natural setting enhances its charm. The former court kitchen building is nearby. It now serves as a visitor center.

The Fasanenschlösschen is open from May to October. This allows visitors to experience its beauty in warmer months.

New portraits enhance the experience. Paintings of Frederick Augustus III and his wife are on display. These works come from Anton Graff’s workshop. A painting of Count Camillo Marcolini is also present. Four pastel paintings by Johann Heinrich Schmid depict royal family members.
