His most significant contribution was a monumental history of the Edict of Nantes. Published between 1693 and 1695 it was quickly translated into English. His meticulous research and fair approach made it a valuable resource. The book showcased his deep knowledge and his dedication to his faith. His biographer Charles Johnston praised his education research and integrity. This quiet resting place belies the impact of this man. Elie Benoist a scholar a minister and a historian.
