Pastor Gerald Johnson’s booming laughter echoes in my memory as I stand before Faith Culture Church. It’s a far cry from the quiet beginnings of this vibrant Austin church. Faith Culture Church opened its doors on August 7, 2011, with just ten members. Now, hundreds gather here, drawn by Pastor Gerald’s “exciting,” “real,” and “knowledge-filled” ministry. He’s known for his ability to connect the Word of God to current events, bringing a fresh perspective to his teachings. Pastor Gerald leads “The Blanket,” a ministry that supports and nurtures other ministry gifts. He and his wife, Marketta, made a leap of faith, moving their family from Southfield, Michigan, to Austin to found Faith Culture Church. Their faith has clearly borne fruit, as the church continues to grow and impact the community. They have even shared their message on national platforms like TBN. Faith Culture Church isn’t just a building. It’s a testament to the power of faith, the dedication of its leaders, and the vibrant community it fosters.
