Forty-seven years. That’s how long Gene and Sue Lingerfelt have been married. They poured that love into Faith Christian Center. It started small in a hotel ballroom in 1984. Can you imagine? A humble beginning. A seed of faith planted.
Faith Christian Center in Arlington Texas wasn’t always a sprawling campus. It began as a simple gathering. Pastors Gene and Sue Lingerfelt had a vision. They wanted to teach people how to apply God’s Word to daily life. That vision grew. It blossomed into something remarkable. Today Faith Christian Center sits on 55 acres in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
Dr Gene Lingerfelt’s ministry spans over fifty years. He’s written numerous books and workbooks. These resources are available in the church’s bookstore. They also help people on their faith journey. The Lingerfelts’ influence is far-reaching. They’ve helped establish over 68 churches. More than 250000 people have found faith through their work. That’s an incredible legacy.
Their son Dr Austin Lingerfelt followed in his father’s footsteps. He’s a pastor at Faith Christian Center. He’s also a teacher. He teaches at St Paul’s Preparatory Academy. This is the church’s own private school. It spans from early childhood through 12th grade. Aaron Wood another key figure. He’s the Creative Arts Director and Youth Minister. He’s been with the church for over twenty years. He’s impacted countless young lives.
