Amidst the vibrant energy of Paris-Saclay, stands the Faculté de Pharmacie, Biologie et Chimie de l’Université Paris-Saclay. It’s a place where scientific innovation and academic excellence converge. The faculty’s story began in 1972 as part of the former Paris-Sud University. Now, in 2022, it has found a new home. The Faculté de Pharmacie, Biologie et Chimie is a key component of the ambitious Biology – Pharmacy – Chemistry project. This massive undertaking brought together the Faculty of Pharmacy, ICMMO, IDEEV, and teaching facilities for biology and chemistry onto the Saclay plateau. This project, a public-private partnership with Platon Saclay, cost 283 million euros and resulted in approximately 88,000 m² of new buildings. The Faculté de Pharmacie, Biologie et Chimie occupies a significant portion of the “Henri Moissan” site. This site boasts the monumental architecture of Bernard Tschumi and Groupe-6. It houses 3,300 students and 1,000 researchers, teachers, and administrative staff. The faculty itself relocated from Châtenay-Malabry. The move to the modern, spacious facilities at Paris-Saclay ushered in a new era of collaboration and research. The Faculté de Pharmacie, Biologie et Chimie is not just a center for learning. It’s a hub of cutting-edge research, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry. The building also houses the Musée Albarelle, a museum dedicated to the history of pharmacy.
