In 2000, a small seed of faith was planted on Auckland’s North Shore. This seed grew into Morning Star Christian Church, the predecessor of Every Nation Auckland City. Driven by Pastor Ken and Renee Dew, along with three other families, the church’s initial focus was university students. They wanted to share the gospel, nurture faith through discipleship, and build a church that embraced both students and the wider community. Every Nation Auckland City’s journey took an exciting turn in 2002. A team was sent to Melbourne to plant a new church, expanding their reach across the Tasman Sea. Back in Auckland, the Victory Leadership Institute, later renamed Every Nation Leadership Institute, began shaping future leaders. In 2004, Morning Star Christian Church became Every Nation Christian Church, joining a global family of churches and ministries under Every Nation Ministries. The church’s commitment to planting churches that transform communities led to further expansion. Teams ventured to South Auckland, Sydney, and Brisbane, spreading their message of hope and faith. For three years, they supported Peace Chapel Church in Apia, Samoa, establishing a Leadership Institute there. More recently, in 2016, a church was planted in Suva, Fiji. Every Nation Auckland City continued its growth, focusing on discipleship and outreach. In 2014, a new chapter began. Richard and Chrissie Urbahn, both New Zealanders, became the Senior Pastors. The church relocated to Auckland City, taking on its current name, Every Nation Auckland City, and continuing its mission to connect with people and share their faith. Today, Every Nation Auckland City stands as a testament to its humble beginnings, a place where people from diverse backgrounds are united by their faith in Jesus. They invite everyone, regardless of their life stage, to join their community, find meaning, and explore faith.
