A quiet loop of paved trail winds through tall trees and stretches along the edge of Everglade Park. Everglade Park is an 8.1-acre neighborhood park. In 1968, the park was filled with dreams of a better Dallas neighborhood. The park is located in the Buckner Terrace community and has a loop walking trail, a baseball field, and a playground. With a basketball court and a pool, the park also has a large picnic area. This park draws in hundreds of people who are looking for a relaxing space to enjoy the outdoors. The history of the park is a little more interesting than your average green space, but you may not catch on to it from a casual glance at the park. Back in the 1960s, this area was booming with new families and children. The park was a way to bring the community together. The park has helped people relax, exercise, and meet their neighbors for many years. This haven of peace and recreation was a testament to the good intentions of the people who designed and built it. The park remains a beacon of unity and community.
