The Evangelisches Gemeindehaus Rüppurr is located in the Rüppurr district of Karlsruhe. It serves the local Evangelical Church community. The building was constructed in the early 1930s. Prof. Gisbert v. Teuffel, a Karlsruhe architect, designed it.
Inside the Evangelisches Gemeindehaus Rüppurr, you will find several important facilities. The community office is located here. The community library also calls this place home.
But the Evangelisches Gemeindehaus Rüppurr is best known as a gathering place. Various events take place here throughout the year. One popular event is the “Café am Freitag”. A Taizé prayer service is held every second Thursday of the month. It skips August though.
The Auferstehungskirche is nearby. It is the successor to the Nikolauskirche. The Nikolauskirche was given to the Catholic parish after the Auferstehungskirche was finished in 1908.
Several Karlsruhe artists contributed to the Auferstehungskirche’s interior. The stained glass windows depict scenes from the Reformation. They feature figures like Martin Luther and Philipp Melanchthon. Other windows show scenes from the life of Jesus. Statues of figures from the Old and New Testaments are displayed.
