What if these walls could talk? The stories they would tell about Escuela 66 José Belloni! Right here in the Piedras Blancas neighborhood, this school has been a cornerstone of the community for nearly a century. Though it wasn’t always in this location. Escuela 66 José Belloni first opened its doors on March 1, 1927, in Villa Muñoz. Back then, it was a school for boys only. It wasn’t until September 1970 that it found its current home here in Piedras Blancas. The school occupied the Club de Leones building while a brand new structure was built in 1979. Finally, in 1984, the school moved into its current building. It expanded to include kindergarten through sixth grade and was officially named Escuela 66 José Belloni. The school has continued to evolve over the years. An annex was added in 1995 and kindergarten classes moved there. In 2000, the school underwent modernization, further solidifying its commitment to providing a quality education. But Escuela 66 José Belloni is more than just bricks and mortar. It’s a living testament to the enduring spirit of learning and community. It’s a place where countless young minds have taken their first steps toward a brighter future.
