“Did you hear that? Sounds like kids having recess!” Right here, in front of us, is Escuela 251 General Fructuoso Rivera. This school, tucked away in the heart of a bustling neighborhood, has a unique story. Escuela 251 General Fructuoso Rivera wasn’t always here. In 1975, a large housing complex called Ciudad Jardín was being built for 2,000 families. During the construction, the architect, Juan María Muracciole, generously donated a school building, which became Escuela 251 General Fructuoso Rivera. The school officially opened its doors on April 7th, 1975, welcoming 88 students. It was a special moment for the community, and even today, Escuela 251 General Fructuoso Rivera continues to play a vital role in the lives of many children in the neighborhood.
