“1,400 children, all moving as one!” The Escuela 191 Países del Mercosur, a school known for its community spirit, orchestrated a remarkable event. Imagine the energy at the Estadio “Cr. José Pedro Damiani” in Las Acacias. This wasn’t just any school event. This was “Flashmob: El Marconi en Movimiento,” a vibrant display of unity and movement. The Escuela 191 Países del Mercosur brought together 1,400 children from Marconi, Casavalle, Hipódromo, and Piedras Blancas. Public and private institutions joined forces for this special day. The flashmob wasn’t just about the spectacle. It aimed to integrate children from different neighborhoods and schools. It connected teachers from various disciplines, from art and dance to physical education. The choice of location, neighborhoods often stigmatized, was deliberate. The Escuela 191 Países del Mercosur wanted to showcase the positive stories within these communities. They wanted to highlight the good news that often goes unheard. Ana Ponce de León, coordinating inspector of the Physical Education Program at CEIP, explained the vision. The goal was to reclaim unconventional public spaces for art. It was about giving children the chance to experience physical movement outside of school hours. It was about showing the world that these neighborhoods are more than just their challenges. They are places of vibrant energy, collaboration, and hope, all orchestrated by the Escuela 191 Países del Mercosur.
