Escuela 173, a place that has witnessed both joy and adversity. This school, in partnership with Escuela 196, serves a community of 800 students. Imagine the impact when a fire, deliberately set in June 2014, destroyed five of its classrooms. The heart of Escuela 173 was deeply affected. But, this is also a story of resilience. Thanks to the combined efforts of the community, government, and organizations like the SUNCA and the National Army, Escuela 173 was rebuilt. The outpouring of support allowed for the construction of temporary classrooms, ensuring that learning continued uninterrupted. Today, standing before the revitalized Escuela 173, we see more than just bricks and mortar. We see the spirit of a community that rallied together, transforming a place of loss into a beacon of hope and education.
