The Environmental Health and Safety Office diligently works to ensure a secure campus environment. Their motto, “Manage Safety through Cooperation,” speaks volumes about their approach. The Environmental Health and Safety Office isn’t just an office; it’s the guardian of well-being for the entire UHCC community. They develop and administer health and safety programs. These programs are crucial for everyone on campus. They offer guidance on everything from handling hazardous materials and waste disposal to asbestos and lead management, indoor air quality, mold mitigation, and fire safety. Even storm/waste water discharge permitting is under their purview. The Environmental Health and Safety Office provides training programs throughout the year.
