Fifty friends a launch team a three-month prayer. This is Emmaus United Methodist Church in Chicago Heights. Not Chicago. A detail easily missed. A surprising opportunity arose in early 2006. The chance to purchase a building. A dedicated Campus Team renovated it in just three weeks. All hands on deck became family. Creating a space fit for the King. Easter Sunday April 16 2006. The Emmaus Community gathered for the first time at 925 MacArthur Drive. A small start a big dream. Today over 300 members. Weekly worship for adults and youth. They continue supporting families spreading God’s love. New chapters are written daily. Safe unique environments to explore faith.
