What began as a vision in the late 1950s blossomed into the Elk Grove Baptist Church. This church stands as a testament to the dedication of a small group of believers in Elk Grove Village. They yearned to share the transformative power of the gospel. In February 1959, they formally established the Elk Grove Baptist Church. They affiliated themselves with the Baptist General Conference, laying the foundation for a legacy that would impact generations to come. The church’s journey led them to break ground on their own building in 1964 on Devon Avenue in Itasca. A decade later, the burgeoning congregation found its current home right here. This corner of Beisner and Gloucester in Elk Grove Village has been a beacon of faith ever since. Growth marked the church’s story from 1987 to 2017. As attendance swelled, so did the physical space. The church expanded to accommodate the growing needs of its ministries. This expansion reflected their unwavering commitment to spreading the gospel and serving the community. Today, Elk Grove Baptist Church stands not just as a place of worship but as a living testament to the power of faith and community.
