Established in 1991 the Elisabeth-Selbert-Gesamtschule initially operated in temporary quarters in Bonn-Röttgen. A short two years later it moved to its permanent home in Bad Godesberg. This building previously housed the Nicolaus-Cusanus-Gymnasium. The Elisabeth-Selbert-Gesamtschule isn’t just any school. It’s a comprehensive school offering a unique educational journey.

In 2011 the school was officially renamed the Elisabeth-Selbert-Gesamtschule. This honors Elisabeth Selbert one of the Mothers of the German Basic Law.
