Egholmskolen welcomes students from 0th to 4th grade in its SFO. SFO means “skolefritidsordning”. That translates to school after-school program. The Egholmskolen SFO opens early. It is open from 6:30 to 8:00 AM on school days. It reopens after school until 5:00 PM. Fridays it closes earlier at 4:00 PM. School holidays have the same extended hours.
Children from Egholmskolen attend the SFO. Children from nearby private schools do too. Egholmskolen’s SFO has two sections. There is the Miniafdelingen and the Klubben. Miniafdelingen is for 0th to 2nd graders. It is based in Heksekedlen. That translates to the “Witches’ Cauldron”. Nearby rooms host different workshops. Children choose their activities.
The SFO Klubben serves 3rd and 4th graders. It is located on the ground floor near the girls’ sports area. A gamer room is on the first floor. The school’s art room allows creative expression.
Egholmskolen’s SFO focuses on children’s free time. It collaborates with the teaching staff. This creates consistency in children’s daily lives. Pædagoger support teaching in grades 0-4. They help with class well-being. They are present during breaks. The class’s pædagog participates in school-home communication. They are your contact person for the SFO.
