East City Wesleyan Church is an Evangelical church. Its focus is on teaching the Bible. It also emphasizes community outreach. Wesleyans believe in one God. This God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They believe He is the Savior of all who trust Him. They trust Him alone for eternal life. Those made new in Christ are called to be holy. This applies to character and conduct. They can only live this way through the Holy Spirit.

Brett is the National Superintendent of the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Aotearoa-New Zealand. He also serves as Senior Minister at East City Wesleyan Church. His wife Kristen serves alongside him as an Assistant Minister. Brett and Kristen have been involved in several Church plants.
East City Wesleyan Church was established with a vision. The vision was for a new all-age, multicultural Church. It would be in the Eastern suburbs of Auckland. The church would be contemporary and relevant. It would cherish Wesleyan emphases. These emphases include God’s grace and holiness. Everything the church does focuses on helping people grow. They grow into all that Jesus Christ has for them.
