East City Chinese Wesleyan is part of the Wesleyan Methodist Churches. These churches partner to share the good news of Jesus Christ. East City Chinese Wesleyan is also affiliated with the East Auckland Ministers Association. The church is a covenant member of Habitat for Humanity. It was the first church in New Zealand to join. East City Wesleyan is a member of the New Zealand Christian Network too.
East City Chinese Wesleyan wants to help people grow. They want people to become all that Jesus Christ has for them. Everything they do focuses on this goal. The church cherishes God’s grace and holiness.
East City Chinese Wesleyan started with a vision. It was to create a new church for all ages. This church would be multicultural. It would be modern and relevant. The location would be in Auckland’s eastern suburbs.
East City Wesleyan is an Evangelical church. It focuses on teaching the Bible. The church also emphasizes community outreach. They believe in one God. This God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He saves those who trust in Him for eternal life.
Wesleyans believe those made new in Christ should be holy. This applies to their character and actions. They can live this way through the Holy Spirit. East City Chinese Wesleyan believes the Bible is enough. It establishes their faith and actions. God wants everyone to know Him. He wants them to be made new in Christ.
