It’s home to over 29000 students. More than 12000 of those students are pursuing postgraduate studies. The faculty is equally impressive. Over 3000 dedicated faculty members contribute to the university’s success. More than 1300 are professors and associate professors.

ECUST’s academic reach is vast. It offers programs across eleven disciplines. These include science engineering agriculture medicine economics management literature law art philosophy and education. Its commitment to excellence is evident. Its chemistry program ranks in the top 10% globally. Materials science engineering biochemistry and biology pharmacology and toxicology agricultural science and computer science are all top 1% programs. ECUST isn’t confined to China’s borders either. It’s a global player. It established China’s first international business school in Sibiu Romania. It also created the first Confucius Institute focused on science and technology innovation. It partnered with the University of Huddersfield in the UK.

ECUST also plays host to incredible collaborative research. There is a joint research center headed by a Nobel Laureate in Chemistry.
