For resident artists, DUPLEX’s residency program offers a quick entry into Lisbon’s art scene. It provides time and space. It allows artists to develop and show their work. DUPLEX AIR offers conversations and visits. Discussions and mentoring of projects are included. DUPLEX AIR adapts to the interests of each group of residents. It works through open calls. It also accepts self-proposals.

Resident artists get a private studio. It is in a shared space. The studio is available from 7 am to 10 pm. The program includes portfolio presentations. There are conversations and guest visits to studios. Organized visits to other artist studios are included. Project follow-up is provided. Curatorial support is offered. DUPLEX AIR fosters a productive environment. It permanently hosts studios for ten artists. Common areas are accessible. These include a kitchenette and terraces. A library and workshop are available. Curators get a project room. It is for small projects. It is available from 7 am to 10 pm. Curators also get project follow-up. They have the opportunity to develop a public program. Basic support is given for exhibition production. A two-week exhibition at Duplex is offered. Printed materials support the exhibition.
Curators must organize a group exhibition. It must include at least two artists. Most artists must reside in Portugal. Curators are expected to be involved in all Duplex activities. They should be interested in the work of Duplex artists. They must use the space responsibly.
