“International,” that’s the first word that comes to mind when describing Dumonteil. Founded in 1982, Dumonteil initially showcased Modern Art. Since 2021, it has focused exclusively on Contemporary Art and limited edition Contemporary Design.

Dumonteil operates as two distinct entities. They are Dumonteil Contemporary and Dumonteil Design. These entities share three exhibition spaces. Two are in Paris. One is at 8 rue d’Aboukir and the other is here at 38 rue de l’Université. The third is in Shanghai at 199 Hengshan Road.

The gallery organizes over twenty solo exhibitions each year. Dumonteil aims to support artists. It also supports Estates d’Artiste. The goal is to help them develop ambitious projects. Dumonteil promotes them on the national and international stage. This happens in their galleries. It also happens outside the walls in collaboration with institutions. You can also find them at fairs like WestBund Art & Design and Art Paris.

Beyond commercial goals, Galerie Dumonteil extends its influence. It gets involved in various cultural sectors. The gallery advises clients. They help them build their collections. Dumonteil lends works to museum exhibitions. It contributes to leading publications.

Dothi and Pierre Dumonteil created the gallery. Dorian Dumonteil has been responsible for its future since 2021. Galerie Dumonteil is a member of the Professional Committee of the CPGA Art Galleries. It is also a member of the Compagnie Nationale des Experts CNE.

Currently, Dumonteil represents many artists. They include Hugo Deverchère and Mia Fonssagrives Solow. Others are Bruno Gadenne and Wang Keping. Dumonteil has locations in Paris and Shanghai. This allows them to promote artists globally.

Dumonteil is more than a gallery. It is a cultural hub. It supports artists. It advises collectors. It contributes to the art world. It connects Paris to the international art scene, specifically Shanghai. Take a moment to appreciate the blend of contemporary art and design. Consider Dumonteil’s role in shaping artistic careers. Remember its commitment to cultural engagement. It’s a gallery with a global vision.
