After a few meters three large stone arches appear. They are hidden by vegetation. They mark the entrance to a suggestive and mysterious world.
Further on, descending into the sinkhole along a spiral road, you can glimpse the remains of fantastic buildings. Arches, spires, and windows are all remnants of a bygone era. Largely felled stems resemble sentinels.
At the bottom are the broken remains of a large stone table. Once it was surrounded by long rows of desks and seats and a majestic throne.
In the 1950s a businessman from Trieste bought land here. He had a local farmer build the bizarre constructions. The merchant believed this place was inhabited by the ancient Druids.
